USMLE timeline

 I regret not having enough info - although it's never too late, here is how I would go about it if I could do it again - Year 1 and 2- get basics right- towards end of year 2 - watch boards and beyond vids and take notes Year 3- Do Uworld, NBMEs, schedule and take step 1 (Bunk clinical postings- not of much use) Year 4 - apply for clerkship for the next year- UNC,UAB, UIC ,Mount Sinai etc Internship- take break and go for clerkships(or sneak in between your final year), volunteer and ask to be associated with research projects -hospitals, iisc, tata memorial etc Start doing Uworld and complete step 2 Start with applying process with US -LORs, personal statement and interview - while also being a research fellow at mayo etc  Match 8 years after joining MBBS on j1/hib - hib requires step 3 Do fellowship at uab (visa waiver job?) MBBS- ONE POST TO RULE THEM ALL!

 Hi folks Just finishes my neet pg and got a rank of 509! I'm incredibly grateful and happy- particularly because the pg exams were a big source of worry for me (I think even in first year- I've kind of always been a worrier -ha ha) So here is what worked for me- Aravind arora for anat- just know the nitty gritties Biochem and physio- boards and beyond lectures- gold! Patho- vandana puri maams book, Robbins for images, ramdas nayak Pharm- sharma and sharma, kdt for classification only FM- narayan reddy synopsis more than enough  Micro- apurba shastry - gold! Psm- park + vivek jain Ent- dhingra Ophthal- Utsav bansal- soch -gold!
